I have a cruise booked that is returning to San Juan on April 4 arriving in port at 6 am. I do not know what time I can disembark, but here is my question and dilemma. My flight leaves SJU at 540pm so I plan to get to airport by 330pm(is that enough time given what I have read about this airport)? My wife and I want to do something in San Juan, even if it has to be simple, so as not to spend all day at the airport. Does anyone have suggestions? Is there anything we can do safely with our luggage without having to lug it with us the whole time? Thanks for any help.

Not sure what you would do with luggage. First thought would be to go to high end hotel and tip the bellman to store it for you. Not sure if that would work but as usual, cash talks. Second thought would be to take it to the airport. You would need to check and see how early you could check it. That would take three cab fares. I am sure others have had this dilemma, you should ask on the cruise section of this forum.

You could call the UPS store and ship your luggage via UPS to your home. UPS will usually give you Ground rates from PR to the states because their jets mostly fly back empty.
Or you could rent a car and put your luggage in the trunk then drop off the car at the airport before you fly out.

Does the cruise line offer some sort of beach / airport transfer package?
