Returned from a week in Grand Case. It was our first trip to St. Martin. Now I understand why so many of you are so passionate about this island.
Every February we take a trip to a different spot in the Caribbean. We have stayed at some very nice places and have enjoyed each one. Yet, this trip was one where there wasn't enough time to do everything we wanted to do, eat everything that we wanted to eat and see everything we wanted to see.
I loved the Bleu Emeraude, where we stayed. It was clean, modern and served great croissants and coffee. There were too many great places too eat, but espeically loved the food at Tastevin. The atmosphere and views at La Shambala were incredible. And we hit a home run with Randy, the taxi driver who chauffeured us around the entire island.
I can see why people go for two weeks or longer. A week is not enough. Back to reality, work, and icy roads, and trying to lose the 10 lbs I gained in 6 short days

Glad you had a great time. One week is definitely not long enough, but you have to start somewhere. Next time two weeks and keep extending as your heart desires!

SXM is our fav. island and Grand Case our favorite part---I think. I guess we love the entire island but you can't beat the great food in Grand Case.

Glad you had a great time and that you explored the entire island by Randy's cab.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. You say you now have to lose the 6 lbs you gained? Well, let me put it into some perspective for you --- our 1st trip SXM I wore a size 9 dress. Now 35 years and too many trips later that's the size of my underwear. Airfare to SXM is expensive but we always manage to spend more than airfare on food.

As to 1 week being not enough, we're up to 3 and it's STILL not enough!
