Someone previously posted a link that identified all the yachts and sailboats docked in the harbor, based I think on sightings reported by individuals. I've searched the forum but can't seem to locate the link nor can I find it with a Google search. I suspect this land lubber isn't using the right nautical terms to have it pop up! Does anyone know the website? Thanks!

Thanks for the links. We're watching the activity in Grand Case harbor from the deck of our rental apartment and were curious about the larger yacht anchored there. I can't seem to Id it from the website, but it's probably user error! It's one that has the large door that opens at water level to let out a boat, and it's been sitting open.

It's been a busy morning with several of the anchored boats setting off, a provisioning truck delivering (we think), several dinghies coming in to pick up and drop off passengers, and a couple of groups of school kids down for water time in the roped off area. I thought it would be swimming lessons but it appeared to just be a time to frantically run in and out of the shallow water, with no real swimming instruction! They are big enough to be swimming so it's too bad it wasn't actually a swim class.

We also were assaulted with a very strong sewer smell. Thought it was coming in on the wind, but then later noticed that there was a small stream of liquid being pumped into the harbor from a few doors down. I suspect it means someone has emptied a septic?

StMartinFan - I should have said that I used the MarineTraffic AIS data and there were only two active ones in Grand Case at the time, "Chopi Chopi" and a 40ft long Swedish-registered sailboat so I decided to go out on a limb and guess that it might be "Chopi Chopi" <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Groovin.gif" alt="" />

Yep, confirmed that it's Chopi Chopi when 2 crew came in off the dinghy with a half dozen gift bags pre printed with the boat's name on them as we were eating lunch at the Rib Shack Lolo. Perhaps headed to the airport to greet arriving guests?

The dinghy was busy, hauling out earlier arrivals and taking what appeared to be a local repair guy with a tool box out to the ship and then back late this afternoon, and stocking the ship with big coolers labeled fresh seafood brought out to the dock by the delivery guy, Actuallly, calling what they use a dinghy may not be correct...while it has the oval shape and low profile of a dinghy, it's bigger than most, has rigid sides and a partial sunscreen on the front. It's just so low on the sides, it doesn't seem like a real boat.

Think the local repair guy was building a shoe closet?

I picked up a cargo shipment at the airport today and they were loading fresh Maine lobster in cartons labeled "Frecsh Seafood" while I was there at about 14:30, a good 50 crates of them, onto a pickup. Perhaps they were destined for Chopi Chopi!
