Hello good folks. Getting ready to embark on our journey. Last time we went to Cupecoy we took a cab. This time we will be driving.
Is there a easy way to describe how to get there from Grand Case? Do you cross the bridge as if you were going to the airport or go around through Baie Nettle and such? Any tips as to what to look for? Oddly when we went there before the cabbie didn't seem to know where it was but found it ok.

The easiest/shortest way is through Marigot, Sandy Ground, Baie Nettle and then Cupecoy. I would have no problem doing it during the day but at night, I would avoid Sandy Ground and go through Marigot, take the new causeway, SXM Airport, Maho and then Cupecoy.

Head towards Marigot, pass through Sandy Ground and Terres Basse. Cupecoy beach is located on the right shortly after you enter the Dutch side. Largest landmark is the Blue Mall...you can't miss it.

OK, the other kind folk have the basics. Here is the skinny. Head south from GC. Immediately after you go down the hill into Mariot take a right, ie a little less than 90 deg, at the round-about. That puts you on the harbor route, ie shortcut, follow till just past the town central where the vendor stalls are. Take a right which will take you past Sarafinas. At or near the end of the harbor area, bear to your right and you will pick up the road to Sandy Ground. Stay on the main road till you hit Cupecoy area. I would suggest that you do this only during daylite. Would not suggest this drive either way after dark.
