Hello. I am back from five days on Virgin Gorda. We had a marvelous time. This was my second trip to the BVI and my first trip to Virgin Gorda.

It's been five years since I was in the BVI. The new air terminal is an improvement although the immigration folks were not as nice as they were before. Not that they were rude, just bored. And what's the deal with the departure tax? I paid cash since the attendant said cash only, but on the window of his office he had stickers that indicated acceptance of all sorts of credit cards. I guess that was for something else?

Virgin Gorda is a beautiful island. We explored as much as we could. Savannah beach is worth more time than we had. And the South Sound is really pretty. Too bad that there are no beaches there.

We had lunch at Little Dix Bay one day. That is a great resort, but obviously caters to families more than I care for.

We stayed at Biras Creek and I cannot imagine a nicer place. The food was great, the staff very friendly and helpful, and even one of the large iguanas was sociable! The only drawback was that it was jellyfish season! Biras Creek is a magical place. I will definitely return.

Thanks to all on this board who offered advice. May everyone here have as wonderful a time in the BVI as I did.
