We will be spending some time in the BVI can some-one tell me what are the mooring fees are at: Norman Isl. (the bight)
Trellis Bay, Cane Garden, and Great Harbor JVD.

Mooring fees are generally $30/night almost everywhere in the BVI with a few exceptions.

You get full run of the resort. They have 2 balls first come first serve.

It is absolutely beautiful.....we took a slip there for our last night last year and got a big discount since the marina was under major reconstruction - hoping their marina showers improved because of that! We will spend our last night on the boat there again this year - but we'll grab a mooring this time and check out the new facilities!

We had two nights at New Years on a slip. The surge was a pain, still under construction and no discount.

Probably because of the New Year's factor....we were there in May of last year and it was very quiet. We did not expect a discount but the dockmaster was nice enough to offer it. Have to say....their marina showers really sucked <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" /> The rest of the place? Just amazing....I think we're all going to save our pennies for a spa visit this year <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

New Years dinner $240 pp + 18% gratuity. So we had dinner on board.
Resort still beautiful. I was told that mooring balls are in poor condition. Also mega yachts blocked our wifi signal from digicel. Agreed re marina showers.
We may cross paths when we go down next May.

We're planning a fun dinghy pub crawl in North Sound on the 18th of May, starting at Leverick - if you're around, join us! We'll be in a slip at Leverick the 17th and 18th - Lipari 41 "Being Nauti". My brother was just on Being Nauti... loved the boat, only complaint was not much storage on the boat, loved the electric heads.

Sprat Bay was nice and protected and we spent the day on the hammocks at Deadman's Bay and the clubhouse pool before heading to the Tradewind's for a great dinner. The crew was able to come and go from the boat as they pleased. Unfortunately we didn't have the energy on this visit to make it over to the spectacular infinity edge spa pool overlooking Big Reef Bay. The clubhouse pool is pretty nice though and while not an infinity pool, you do have clear views across the SFD to Tortola. The daytime construction noise was minimal while we were there, and could only be heard in the marina area.

Another option for Peter island is to grab a mooring in great harbor and walk to resort, just a short walk around sprat bay - maybe five minutes. Be sure to pull dinghy onto the beach (no anchoring allowed).
We did this yesterday and enjoyed a nice beach day and drinks at the beach bar.
Also, nice snorkeling along the shoreline.

At this point, the mooring ball option is the only one we haven't used there!

of all the great Marinas, Peter would be on the bottom of our list, overpriced, ugly showers and rest rooms. We love anchoring at Peter either Deadmans or Great Harbour.

We would DEFINITELY not do a slip there again for the above reasons -- we will enjoy the resort from Deadman's this year, most likely.

Here's a Peter Island Story. A few years ago I was the ringmaster of a group of 8 couples doing a week in the BVI's. We chartered two 40ft Power Cats from Moorings. During the planning meetings the group decided that we should spend one night in a slip at Peter and have dinner at their main restaurant, Tradewinds, I believe. I explained that Peter had a dress code, no jeans. no tee shirts. no sandals. Everyone was cool with the policy. On arrival I checked in and made a reservation for 16 for dinner, no problem. Dinner time arrives and we congregate on the pier, sure enough a couple guys had jeans on. I told them that we may not be allowed into the restaurant. Well, we were told that the jeans were not acceptable. As we were leaving the manager came up and said he could seat us in a private dining room. As we walked through the main room we received several disapproving looks from the other guests. We had a great, if expensive, meal. MORAL: Even Peter Island won't turn down a 16 person dinner tab.

We will be spending a night at the Bight on Tuesday, is there any entertainment other than the Willie T's. I know MJBlues plays there but not on Tuesday's.
I would like to thank TTOL and all the great info from all of you, to make our trip to the BVI's, PERFECT!

Sounds very familiar ... a couple of years ago we had 8 couples on two boats docked at their marina. Again, going for dinner at the fine dining and a couple guys with jeans and flip flops. NP, we were seated in the private dining area which suited us fine.
