Done with BVI and moving on. Looking at extended PR stays. Any do's and don'ts? Good locations or bad. Places to stay, dive, boat, eat....thanks in advance. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Several years back we spent a week in Palmas del Mar. Remember saying at the time, that it we be a good spot to spend a month if the rent was right. Could be worth checking out.

10-15 yrs ago I drove the entire island one end to the other. we were basically on a road trip to get a feel and didn't do any water activities as we were following that with a week on a friends boat in Tortola. Rain forest in the center was neat, people were very friendly. Western tip was not real impressive as far as lodging but the food was great. We had been in the San Juan area many times so didn't spend much time there. This probably doesn't help you a lot but it's been too long for anything major to stand out.

Would highly recommend a stay on Culebra. Beautiful island.

Spent a week at Tres Palmas in Rincon last year. Four homes, each rented separately or together. Rincon is a great, quiet surf town. Really enjoyed it for a laid back vacation.

We love PR, and were lucky enough to live there many moons ago. Here some info and pics from a previous post last year Puerto Rico
