Spent the day on Pinel. Wasn`t crowded. The beach and water were great. Whatever damage the hurricane caused has been cleaned up. Walked over to the north beach and found a dozen people enjoying the beach au naturel. There was seaweed there but, hey, your at the ocean, right!

Two Sunday's past we rented kayaks and had a nice leasurely paddle to and from Pinel. Passed two beached sailboats left over from Gonzalo, one being worked on. Beach and restaurant were at capacity but we had a nice lunch. Seemed to be lots of locals enjoying a day trip.

Haven't been to Pinel in a very long time. Is there any shade on the north end? Thanks for the report.

There is basically no shade on the north beach. I would strongly suggest taking an umbrella. Sorry I took so long to reply but I've been busy holding down my lounge chair on Orient.
