Well good news for TikoTIko fans....after informal discussions between Club O and the Collectivty ....The sign has been taken down. Tiko Tiko has been granted an exemption!! Nude under the umbrellas (to & from ocean) but pareos needed(cover up) to stroll the beach on Tintamarre. To avoid conflict with the law. We are grateful to all involved in the handling of this matter. Jp Bonnet (co-owner Tiko Explorer)

That's good as long as the strollers adhere to the pareos being worn.

What about off the beach you think? We have been there many times over the years and sometimes do the naked stroll to the other side of the island. We always were respectful of the Cats showing up with tourists on them, when alone or like minded people we usually have the dog and cat out for the walk . . . . LOL

The cat, you could probably get away with being nude, as everyone knows that cats are scofflaws. The dog, probably should have a pareo... or at least a leash! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" /> Sounds like for the time being you should bring a pareo and be prepared to cover up..

Sometimes the best, and only, solution is a compromise. Overall, this is good news. "To and from ocean", "stroll the beach", and "cover up" could be construed as gray areas by some and enforcement will be tricky. Kind of just like Orient itself, the textiled ones may and will stroll and get their eyefuls. This should raise some hackles!
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

We tried to book Tiko Tiko when we are in St. Martin in a couple weeks. Sadly they are booked for the entire week. Can anyone recommend another sailing trip similar to Tiko Tiko? One that while not necessarily nude would at least be more grown up oriented, rather than family groups?
