Here are some more pictures. The small pictures here can be clicked on and bring up the larger picture. The larger pictures run from 250k to 500k in size. Is this a tent or what? This is my idea of camping: Ok, it is not the holiday inn, I guess: Sunset over the zambieze river: Lion, how close do you get? Actually she wanted some of our chicken fingers -- wait till the trip report: Hope you liked them.

The camera was a nikon D70 -- digital 6.1 megapixel. Carol had two lens with the camera a 35 to 100 tele photo zoom and at 75 to 300 telephoto zoom. We had a doubler, but none of the pictures at this point used the doubler. For the most part, except at the "tent" we never used the doubler at all. The animals for the most part were so close that it was not an issue. Actually a couple of times they were so close that it made the 75x300 zoom a tough shot.
We took along a back up camera also for some shots, but did not use it that much. Then we had the video camera that also had the capability of still shots on a memory card.
So there was nothing super high tech on the pictures that are being posted -- gives you a clue about what we were seeing and the many options that we had. This is why it is hard to dismiss photos, we are trying to "discard" photos that are really good even. But that is what happens when you take around 3,000 photos I guess, and around 6 hours of video.

Eric: I got to hear some of the stories from Carol over lunch! Wow! Loved the one about the hyena... Also about the lions chasing the water buffalo into the next lion's territory! OOPS! Really sounds like a heck of a journey...
P.S. Hope you are done with the laundry and you have some dinner ready for Carol tonight! She's had a tough week!

Great pics Eric
Keep em coming, I enjoy seeing them.
What are the stories Nutmeg is referring to Eric was one of the natives looking at you, for lunch.
Is that a tent, jez, I was expecting to see Tarzan and Jane in their tree house or swinging on the ropes. Instead we have Lord Eric and Lady Carol staying in their temporarily displaced castle .
Have a great weekend.
MJ
And the played on.

Yeah, no treehouses for me! I'd rather have a castle any day!!!!!
Regarding having us for lunch, the hyena in the one picture came to visit us when we were out of the jeep, having sundowners drinks and appetizers. Hyena really wanted to make off with our chicken fingers but was too scared of us to try it! Of course, I was scared of the hyena, and was standing behind our guide, Alex, a BIG tall guy, at about 6 foot 5! I figured if the hyena was really hungry, she would eat him first!
