Just saw a post on FB that someone booked online with VI Airlink for a flight from Tortola to Anegada and didn't notice that the fares are posted in GBP. They ended up paying $338 for the 15-min flight instead of the usual $99. She said VI Airlink won't refund the difference and told her to call to book a flight next time.

That's very weird. I've noticed that online site behaves oddly in the past and never trusted it enough to book that way. Calling is good advice!

I looked at it and it does say fares are quoted in GBP, but it's not very noticeable or expected.

If they used a credit card, they might be able to dispute the charge with them.

I saw that post too. Last year I went to book them to Anegada, knew it was $99 RT, tried the website and when the numbers didn't jive, I picked up the phone and called. I did notice pretty quick that it was quoting GBP and looked for some sort of method to change it to USD. Not there. Why that person went ahead and booked and added cc info I can't understand.I also can't understand why the website is the way it is. As with anything in the BVI, it is always best to call. Technology just ain't their thing.

Wow … I have never heard of such a high rate to fly to Anegada! That's really, really ridiculous and I should think a rather black eye for VI Airlink as well.
Can you provide a link to the Facebook page?

I think the standard charter rate is $400 each way so it could have been worse.

We are in the process of making reservations with VI airline now. Guess I will make sure to call and have an email confirmation! Anyone know what they allow in weight for luggage? thanks!

I dealt with them (VI Airlink) for our flights (round trip from SJU->EIS) over the NYE period and couldn't have been happier. Just my $02
... DIF all the time...
