We will be in St Martin staying at Club Orient and we looking for your recommendations for a place to have breakfast our first morning. We would either like to walk to a resturant on the beach or a short drive. Thoughts/recomendations.

A full big American style breakfast, or an espresso and some nice pastries? Can't help you with the first one, but for the second, Orient Village is a quick walk away.

Andy and Cheryl's is easy walking distance-closed on Mondays.
Paradise View is a short drive-closed on Tuesdays.

Definitely Paradise View - delicious, especially the crepes. Just a very short drive.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

I'd have to agree with the others on Andy & Cheryl's if you want a good 'ol American breakfast. Right on the beach within easy walking distance from Club O. Cheryl is a sweetheart and the food and service are very good.

I agree with Andy and Cheryl's and Paradise View. Both are good but different. When one is closed, you can try the other!

Andy and Cheryl's for a full American breakfast or Paradise View for French although they also have an American breakfast special just not as hearty as Cheryl's.

There is a small restaurant on the road that leaves Orient Village on the fight side of the road which is part of a few other businesses. I believe it is called Good Morning. They serve an American breakfast as well as a great selection of croissants. Also the Yellow Sub restaurant has a stand that sells croissants. They are located right off the beach where Orient Village is located.

Is Andy & Cheryl still serving Duncan Donuts coffee? I remember being surprised to find it on SXM. But the best coffee for me is at the Yacht Club...Doue Ebert (spelling?) now we buy it one line for home.

We cannot second Good Morning enough, was there almost daily the 10 days we were there in October. The continental breakfast with fruit salad, croissant, bread and jam and a cafe au lait was great. But the omelettes were some of the best, just make sure to buy a baguette to sop up all the goodness from the bottom of the container. I'm sure I was quiet a site walking back to Mt. Vernon along the beach with my breakfast and baguette in one hand and coffee and fresh juice in the other.

How about the best cafe au lait in the Orient Beach area? Where to find that? The last time we were there (two years ago) we never found the perfect one. (I agree with RonDon that Doue Ebert coffee is really good, but that isn't found on the French side).
