Thanks Kimber, I actually have been here for quite a few years, and sailed with many on the forum. Just forgot my login and had to reset. Not for me, for a friend...who is coming to STT on a cruise ship and my advice was skip it and try to find someone to get you over to the BVI's for the day. But didn't have any recommendations.
As much as I love the BVI, spending the day there on a cruise ship stop in STT is tough to fit in on their port schedule, in most cases.
There is plenty to see and do in STT unless they have been here often and spent more time visiting than a cruise ship stop - also visiting St John for a few hours is considerably easier to arrange if they have never been there.
Cruise ship arrival and departure times rarely allow for using the scheduled BVI trips - it would almost certainly have to be a private power boat charter and depending on the ship departure time getting back on in time may become a concern. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />
It can be done for sure but it may not be as relaxed a day as a BVI exploration deserves. [justMHO]
