I am booking a trip for my family of 4 to USVI and BVI in August. Flying in to STT and staying 5-6 days somewhere near RedHook. Looking to do 5 more days in BVI. Options are: 1) Ferry to Tortola and base ourselves there somewhere in town, ferry to other islands on day trips; or 2) hire a skippered private charter for 4-5 day trip around BVI before flying out of EIS back home.
I am struggling to find a private charter for option 2. I learned most charter boats (Dream Yacht, Moorings) leave the area in August and the bases close down. Are there any boat captains on this forum who would like to take us on and show us around BVI? Or know someone who can?
Thanks!

Contact Brent at Captain's Compass..sponsor here..If you decide to be land based and take day trips I would highly recommend staying on the West/North end.Staying in Road Town is not very picturesque...on the north shore you have beaches and town is 20 mins away and WE ferry dock is less than 10 to go to JVD etc.

yes, most of the fleet is on the hard or has headed south out of the hurricane belt. There are a handful of crewed yachts sticking around. If you are looking for just a skipper, Awatea would do captain-only. Great people and yacht. https://yachtwarriors.com/yachts/crewed/awatea-63-foot-sailing-catamaran
