I recently saw a post with unconfirmed info that Coco was closing. I spoke to a friend Thursday night who had been tending bar at Coco and he confirmed that Coco is closed. They have been sold and the current plan is to reopen in late October.

Went there once. It was beautiful and I’m sure a blast on weekends. But seemed very pricey in comparison to even KKo next door.

Kim, I agree. Coco used to be our favorite on Orient, but when they doubled the price of their chairs, it became more expensive than it was worth. We also enjoyed KKO a lot this past visit.

Coco is closed. All the beach chairs gone. Supposedly the owner of SAO bought it.

I walked down there yesterday and yes it is closed with a slate board stating it would be six months before reopening and the other poster was correct, No chairs or tables or lounges anywhere.

Doesn’t coco supply the chairs for Esmeralda guests? If so, do their guests no longer have access to chairs?

Nah. Sounds like they are going to reopen at the beginning of “early start” of high season to get organized. End of Hurricane season. Hopefully! Can’t wait to try it!

Esmeralda guests had access to several spots on Orient for free. Coco was an option but I believe a charge of $15 per chair. Coco used to be free for Esmeralda when it was run by Sophie and before it got destroyed by the hurricane
