The past few days have had us rising with the sun pouring through our windows at 6:00. We had breakfast in and were in our chairs at club o by 8:15. That makes for an early first cocktail. Most dinners have been in the house except a Sunday dinner at Maison Mere. We have had a lot of drinks and desserts there over time,but didn’t love their menu or price point. They now have a much better menu and their prices line up with the other restaurants in the village. We shared pate then wife had scallops and I had triggerfish. Both were excellent as was the service. Took a break from the beach today and contributed to the Marigot economy. Clothes were purchased and lunch was had. Went to Be Kool for the first time and loved their food. Started with beef carpaccio with some crispy onion strings on it. Different but good. Wife had monkfish in a light sauce and I had grouper with a really light tomato sauce. Both were excellent. We’ll definitely be returning. Weather has been perfect with temps in the low to mid 80’s and winds around 7 mph. Just enough breeze to keep you comfortable.
