Started the day with a beach walk then to Good Morning for some delicious pastries to go with our coffee. Then it was off to club o beach for the day. It seemed like half of the front row chairs had towels laid out at 8:30. I thought that practice had been stopped but apparently it still continues. There was no sargassum along the beach. There were just enough clouds passing by and a nice breeze to make it a good beach day. Dinner was at L’Astrolabe since wife wanted to go for lobster night. For those who haven’t been, the restaurant is quite nice, with half of the seating outside around the pool. Wife did have the grilled lobster which was delicious and I had the filed in foie gras sauce and I added a slice of seared foie gras on top. Had this same dish last November and it was even better than I remembered. Finished the evening sharing the molten lava cake. Service here is excellent. Going to need to do lots of walking Saturday to work off dinner.

Astrolab is our first night restaurant on arrival day since we stay in Orient for our first week.

Food always good and the their three course prix fix reasonably priced

Service is very good and very friendly, lovely atmosphere

I'm not a foie gras fan, but that filet looks wonderful! What is the yellow thing on the second plate?

That "yellow thing" looks like a squash to me. Same with the green one.

Food looks great, I think the yellow thing is a carrot! That's a nice piece of Foie Gras as well, enjoy!

duh Looked at it a second time and realized it was a top view of the steak. The first time I looked, I thought it was the molten cake. Idiot. Comes from only one cup of coffee, I guess.

Mmmm... that looks divine. But yes, I hear you about the walking but thankfully Orient is such a great long beach.
