Surf has been very rough. Seaweed has been removed daily.
Depending which end your villa is at equates to if there’s a sand shelf to navigate. We’re in. #12 and straight ahead is ok but going right the shelf gets higher. I haven’t walked down to #4 and beyond so I’m thinking it must be higher
Maho. Has some rocks starting to show and strong waves. Steep slope of sand. Few days ago amblance took a man away. Not sure what happened to him.
One day last week waves and sand covered the road, one car stuck had to be pulled out. Next day sand had been removed so clear travel except for the people standing in the street.
Our maid said a car stopped in front of her and refused to move, got out of car and waited to get a photo. All should know when a plane approaches to not enter the area of the runway at either side.
"All should know when a plane approaches to not enter the area of the runway at either side." Good point, when the sand overflows the curb, don't enter Beacon Hill road until the cars/trucks have passed through "zone"!!!
I feel so bad for all the cruisers, I saw on the camera the other day, FIVE ships and yesterday according to the Port of Sint Maarten, four ships!!! And SSBG only puts out a "handful" of chairs!!! Imagine, having to stand all day!!!??? I always check the schedule before we arrive, helps to plan our day!! The overflow of the crowds can be a bit much to navigate to get around them!! Especially after they've had a few or more adult beverages!!! LOL!!! Here's the Port link: https://gls.portstmaarten.sx/sxm/MainMenu.aspx?ShipScheduleType=2
