We’ve both had either food posioning or a virus, vomiting and diarrhea. Thank goodness for two bathrooms here.

So no meals to report. Last meal was Sunday morning at Reveil Martin, pancakes and bacon, coffee. Food okay price higher than any same breakfast elsewhere $56 same meal Tortouga was $26 with ocean view and plane spotting. At Reveil we sat next to street. I don’t understand the draw there.

Our maid brought us guava juice, said it would do the trick. This is Wednesday and so far no problems so not sure if we want to eat out. Anyone know of a place with good grilled cheese? LOL.

I come to SXM to eat and there’s never enough time and now I’ve lost three days!

Wow that sucks, I don't know about grilled cheese but Lagoonies in Cole Bay has a nice menu with some veggie/vegan options if you want something healthy or light.

Getting sick always stinks on a vacation, hopefully your both feeling better.

They also have inside seating. The parking is directly in front so one is not right next to the street. Reveil Martin is not for everyone, but they do a heck of a business and are often packed, and the amount of food is like no other breakfast place.

So sorry to hear that you have been ill. I have been sick on vacation before and it sucks 10 times worse than at home, knowing what you are missing! Hope you feel better.

I am one of the ones that absolutely loves Reveil Matin. We usually bring home as many leftovers as we eat!

I have heard from acquaintances on the island that a virus is going around.

For what it’s worth, that or a similar ‘bug’ is going around here, too. Ten days worth of the BRAT diet finally cleared it up for me but seems everyone I’ce spoken with, family or otherwise, has experienced the bug over the past month or so. Happy to know you are doing better and hoping the rest of your trip is good.

Respectfully,

pat

Being sick on vacation sucks! And tummy bug on a trip to St Maarten is particularly cruel. I hope you can enjoy some yummy stuff soon.

And yup, we have had a nasty tummy bug doing the rounds in our area lately too.

Colour1. We are staying at BSV.

Maid I think her name is Smarty. She’s very sweet and is always happy to see our return. She’s the tall one that has a space between her front teeth and always a big smile.

Pat I haven’t heard BRAT diet since I was a teenager!

Bummer. If I was finally getting my appetite back and I was starved I would go to Little Jerusalem and get “The Famous” Shawarma and then the spaghetti.

Hopefully your on the mends. Not fun being sick on island. I remember getting food poisoning last year from Skipjacks and my wife had it from Pineapple Pete years ago. Takes it out of you for a few days.

So sorry to hear you were sick. Yes, that virus is going around everywhere, but it is so awful to be sick on vacation---
I do understand!!!!
At least being at BSV, makes it a little easier.

Smarthie is a wonderful person--we miss seeing her ---please say hello for us.
