Last evening we went to our favorite Thai restaurant on the island - Avantika. We decided to sit at the bar and had a great time. Guess who had which adult beverage. LOL For appetizers we had fresh spring rolls and calamari. For our entrées we chose Glass Noodles and Cashew Stir Fry. Everything was delicious and we had lots of leftovers.

The last couple of days have been very humid (Saba has disappeared) and quite a bit warmer than usual - upper 80s.

Could use a little bit of that heat right about now

That calamari looks very good.

A few months ago they were advertising for a new cook, manager and wait staff. Was it up to the same standards as a few years back? Last time in My we were there it wasn't very good.

We got there early, 6pm so there were not many other customers. We sat at the bar and the bar tender was very attentive. Food came out quickly and was as good as in prior years. We really enjoyed it.

What's there to elaborate on. Food and service wasn't up to their standards as in the past visits.

I've always loved the food at Avantika but the cocktails never impressed me. After trying several cocktails on different occasions, I decided to stick to wine only. I believe the wait staff was making cocktails back then.
