Hi all. Went to Royal Palm. Waited only about 30 mins to get into our room. Off to Garden Market (Carol’s favorite supermarket) got supplies gin, Calvados, and some food. Gin and Tonics on patio. Off to BBB for a burger and some fun music. Love this place for a beginning island vibe on Saturday. Tacos for misses and a burger for me. All Ok not gourmet.
Sunday, start our day with church at St Martin of Tours., then to Chesterfields- Chesterfield’s was overwhelmed with Sunday breakfast customers - took about 45 mins for our order to arrive. Not enough cooks I think. It was a good breakfast!

Planned to go to Orient Beach. Got there and could not find a parking place at any of beach properties- I am assuming some local holiday on French side. Drove back to RP. Chilled at beach side.
GandT on patio. Going to pineapple Pete’s for dinner.

Good start. Sundays are usually busy with locals on most beaches.

I presume you mean Market Garden? Regardless, not my first choice for a grocery, for sure. Sundays are busy on Orient, for sure. Sounds like you 'made do', like one often has to on SXM. smile Carry on!!

It's been our experience, that if you don't get to Orient before 9am on a Sunday when the guys are setting up, chances are you're not going to find parking or an empty set of chairs top end to the bottom!! Some of the beach fronts do breakfast, and there's a place in orient village, don't know the names, getting really good reviews!! Just some options!! Have a great time!! Yeah cocktails on the deck, doesn't get much better than that!!
