Breakfast on the lanai then off to Wai Plague after a stop in P,burg for black cherry concentrate.

On and off rain showers. That may explain no trouble finding a parking slot. Short stay then on to LaPlaya for drinks under cover from the rain. Met a lovely older couple from England who picked our brains (willingly) about SXM. They were staying at Obbc. Gave them our ideas of places to eat, places to see.

Later we headed to Anse Marcel. Skies looked good but that soon changed. Ate at Blue Sail overlooking the coast guard boats, across from the large hotel whose name I’ve forgotten. Used to be Meridien, then Secrets.

Don ordered the special of the day, curried chicken and rice and salad. He said it was delicious! That made me laugh because I knew he hadn’t understood the waitresses French. He claims he dislikes currry.

I had an antipasto plate. That wasn’t what they called it. I was surprised when the waitress asked pour vous? Oui I answered. What arrived was a cutting board filled with cheeses, meats, tomatoes, petite onions. Enough to feed a crowd! I’ll be eating for days what was brought back to the condo. I managed to wash down quite a bit with wine.

Now we are both on loungers on the lanai, Don napping and me typing this.

Sounds like a perfect day, Ro!
What do you use the cherry concentrate for?

Yes, for gout. Hubby limits red meat to avoid it, takes allorpurinol. cherry helps eliminate the body of purines.

Since food is so great in SXM I hate to see him limit too much so he drinks cherry. Cherry is supposed to also be good for arthritis.
