Howdy! My husband and I will be on the island very soon for our first visit. We are staying at Azure Boutique Hotel and Art Studio; we will not have a car and will use taxis; want to relax and leave driving to others. Any can't miss restaurants (breakfast, lunch or dinner) within walking distance? Can you beach walk along airport fence to get to D's Beach bar? Thanks and looking forward to the adventures!

I'm actually not sure where Azure is, in relation to Mary's Boon, but it obviously has to be to the left of it, as you face the water. Mary's Boon and K (or Karakter) should be within walking distance definitely during the day. Not sure about at night. D's would be more of a hike and definitely NOT!!!! recommended at night. There is a very dark, empty section of the beach between Karakter and Beachside Villas.

Yes you can. It will be an all beach walk. We do it all the time and we would fall in the senior category. Enjoy

I stay at the Horny Toad, sort of "next door" to Azure. On the beach within walking distance: K, Mary's Boon, and further, D's. Going the other direction is Secret Seafood, but it hasn't been getting very good reviews lately. You can get to it either from the beach or the road that becomes one way at the cemetery.
Also within walking distance on the main road: Dingy Dock, Sale & Pepe (mixed reviews), Little Jerusalem, The Palms (usually excellent reviews, try their filet mignon), Balls and Wine, Palapa, Vesna Taverna.
Enjoy! You are on a great stretch of beach although the water is often too rough to get into.

It is 2 or so properties from The Horny Toad, towards the draw bridge.
Several restaurants on the main road and an easy walk.

I haven’t stayed there but have friends that have. I believe it is the place that Lucy Baker had years ago. Not really a hotel with any sort of amenities but more of a small guest house. It’s on the beach I believe so that’s a plus.

Probably correct. I have visited the place a couple of times and looked at the options there. It is unique and right on the beach. When staying at The Horny Toad, I sometimes enter the water in that area, depending on the conditions.
