hey guys! We have not chartered since 2011. It seems like over the last 3 years i have seen some posts about changes with owner's time policy. Can anyone bring me up to date? We have bought and used owners time on our past 5 trips but not sure where to start this time. sail online doesn't seem to have a section devoted to owners time now and the yachts listed are not what we had in mind sizewise (50ft monohull) Any info on owner time is appreciated! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> Best, Christy

Moorings does not allow owner's time to be sold from December 15 -April 15.

The "discount charters" tab on Sailonline has a number of owners time listings. I browse it periodically and booked a week of owner's time through it in November. The offerings seem to vary, so while there aren't any 50' monos listed currently I'd check back from time to time.

It never hurts to contact owners of smaller boats. I have a 43' listed on Sail Online and sold my 2 weeks this year on a 50'+. Other owners might be able to do the same so it never hurts to inquire, although it likely isn't as good as a discount, its still better than retail.
Unfortunately I've sold all my time for this year.
