During our charter in May, we are thinking of spending two nights on a ball at BEYC and using the shuttle (ferry) to go and get a taxi to the Baths. If I understand correctly the free shuttle now goes to Gun Creek not Leverick. Is it easy to get a taxi at Gun Creek or should we prearrange one? Is this a good strategy?

Of course we could take the mothership to Leverick but generally like the Saba/BEYC area better.

Thanks in advance.

My wife and I have done this once (in '23, our first trip to BVI) and I think it's a fine strategy. Keep in mind that the ferry skips a time slot a couple times a day (for meals or shift change or something) so you'll want to plan around those gaps.

As for a taxi, we did not prearrange one and we had some issues. This was due to cell phone problems, mostly. In the end, someone was nice enough to help us call one, but I think next time we'll try to prearrange just to be safe.

Shuttle is easy but ask one of the dock masters to arrange a taxi for you. Makes it smoother and they all have taxi driving friends that they like to help out.

My wife and I took the free gun creek shuttle from BEYC to Gun Creek ferry terminal and rented a car from Mahagony car rental. They brought the car to us for a $10 fee. Super easy. BEYC can send you the ferry schedule. Driving over the mountain is a bit scary especially during the squall that rained on us for 2 hours turning the steep roads into streams. We got to Hog Heaven and sat it out before driving to the baths.
