My wife has been reluctant to travel up to the French side lately but yesterday our friends from Wisconsin said at the pool bar during happy hour that their daughters bought some French linen bags at the Marigot market and off we went today. Which was fine with me because I needed a trip to Sébastien's Quillere Patisserie.
Traffic was slow getting to the market but we got there and she didn't find the bag she wanted so off to Mount Vernon. The traffic from Marigot was bumper to bumper all the way to Grand Case. So we decided to stop at Grand Case and parked at the free lot and walked down to Captain Frenchy's for lunch. We both had the cheeseburger and fries and the fries were the best I've had this trip. The cheeseburger was pretty good too if you tell them to put the sauce on the side so it doesn't get to messy.
I've been searching for French butter on the last couple of trips and today we stopped at a store across the road from Bacchus in Mount Vernon called l'epicerie and found a French butter. I'll be going to La Sucriere tomorrow morning for a fresh baguette.
Then off to Sébastien's Quillere Patisserie and walked in and all the lights were off and they were taking the pastries out of the showcases because of the power failure. I asked where are the chocolate pastries and they were behind them and I bought 4 grin
We decided to do a around the island trip because I didn't want to go back through Marigot and it was alot quicker.
Now that I have finished this report I am going to enjoy chocolate heaven

As some may remember here, I am a french fry connoisseur and those look amazing! We haven't been to Sebastien's, but should get there! Thanks for the pics!

We went from Orient Beach area to the Dutch side, through Marigot today. The traffic going the opposite way towards Orient Beach was slow from Marigot. One hour later, the return trip was at speed. No slow down, but the other side had slow traffic.
The traffic changes daily and hourly. Take your chance on the shortest route. French butter is available in SuperU, but this is an island dependent on shipping for supplies and sometimes the ship is late.

Practice Scubaman. This is one of my burgers from home. It also helps if you cut it in half laugh

Even in half I'd have to eat it sideways after I put it in a vice to squash it down. 👌

We did the same thing yesterday. Went to Marigot and walked the streets and popped into the little boutiques then the market to buy a French linen bag from the “linen lady” 😂😂. Then long lunch at Tropicana and then to buy cheese at the cheese shop near the cemetary!!! We found a truffle Brie that was amazing. Now I want to go get some French butter!!!
