Based upon what I am seeing and personally experiencing, if you are here now or if you plan on being here soon, I will strongly suggest making reservations for restaurants. Both Lee's and The Greenhouse were full Monday night, Skipjacks had a 2 hour wait last night and Isola was 1 hour. I made reservations at The Palms, but they had limited availability when I called and could not get 6 of us in until 8:30. The others in my group did not want to eat that late and they wanted to go to The Red Piano, so they opted out, only to find the wait times I referred to. Best to plan ahead.

Good advice rural. I always try to make some of our dining reservations before we arrive. Then we leave it to what the heart and stomach want for those other times. It sounds like we cannot be so spontaneous now.

3 of us went to the aforementioned restaurants several times between 5:00 and 6pm (Feb. 8 - 21) and walked right in without reservations but I noticed it was more crowded before we left so I guess it really depends on when you go.

We arrive in St Martin 11 March and have already started making reservations. The restaurants are a big reason we go so makes sense for us to plan ahead. Dave

I wanted to reemphasize the need for reservations. In trying to make reservations for tonight (Tuesday), I found several of the popular places already booked 4 days or so out, unless you wanted to eat at 9:00. It will depend on the size of your group, but it is best to plan ahead so as not to be disappointed. The larger the group, the more important reservations will be,

We wanted to go back to Jax but with a group of 5, it would be 9:00. I was able to get reservations at Skipjacks for this evening.

Dave We too arrive March 11 and 5 minutes ago I finished making 5 reservations. 4 for the first week, one for March 20 and the other for the 27th. Will fill in the rest later. Not sure whom else will be on island and who will meet up with.
