A pretty quiet day. I dropped the group at SMYC for breakfast while I made a quick trip into town and then a stop by LaVista to say hi to a long-time friend, Jean-Marie. Some pool time at Royal Palm then a quick lunch at Lee's. We headed to Maho a little early to have a drink at Roma and do a little shopping.

Dinner reservations at Jax for a group of 8, which included kim and the Whale Tails. It made for exceptionally good company and conversation. Kim goes back to visiting the island as a young girl, with her mom and dad (pat &John) and has me beat in years coming here. Whale Tail covered the food choices with his pictures. The food and service were all very good and I am glad they felt welcome to join us. I had planned to order the beef short rib but Jax had a Chateaubriand special (3 different sizes were offered) and when I saw kim's eyes light up when the waiter described it, we decided to split the 14 oz portion. I think the cost was $95, which is comparable or even less than I have paid at high-end restaurants at home. It was very good, as were all the other choices.

Some in the group did a little more shopping, gambling and I went to the Beer Garden for a glass of wine and to enjoy the scenes and weather.

As we came by Nowhere Special it was packed and loud at about 10:30. I had no idea where the music was coming from, but I heard some up to 4:00am. Not loud but it could be heard.
