Just ran across this. Interesting considering how drones and airports are a generally an issue.

https://sxmsir.com/stories/drone-light-show-is-coming-to-maho-st-maarten

on march 4 above the Sonesta.

While Im thinking about it, my kid left her SXM dinner place mat (w a pic of a 747 landing) in her room last Saturday. We got it in Maho Market but can't find a replacement online anywhere.
Anyone want to grab one for me on the way back to NY? wink

Interesting. I had not heard of that before. I wonder if it will replace fireworks, one of these days?

Carol.....it already has in many places. Considered a safer alternative. While I enjoy them both, I'm still a fan of the old fashioned fireworks. I guess it's the kid in me.

Fireworks won't go away anytime soon. My old optometrist is nearing retirement and just got certified as a pyrotech from Grucci.
His retirement is going to be traveling around the world to set up firework shows. Pretty wild. Already did a few in Dubai between patients. Ha!

I think drone fireworks have their place in any arid areas or places prone to forest fires. But the drone cost is $$$

My research discovered the following:

Drone shows tend to be more expensive than traditional fireworks displays. A typical fireworks show can cost between $10,000 and $20,000, while a drone light show often starts at around $100,000.
