Got a feeling you will get more than 1 point of view. I'll have to break it up into more than 1 report with the amount of pics I took. So it will take some time and beers

Overall, I had an exceptionally enjoyable time, and great company made it even better.
Early in the tour Mrs. Whale Tail reprimanded Mr. Whale Tail and put him on time out. There may be a delay in the full report.
Just and FYI, AXA is implementing a 13.5% government tax in addition to a 15% service charge on food and beverages at restaurants. Still a fun time but when almost 30% is added on to start, it can get expensive. A $5 beer and $10 rum punch were all of a sudden $19.
Ok time for the conclusion of the Anguilla report which will probably be 3 posts because of the limits of pics per post. We would like to thank JD for arranging everything on this trip to Anguilla. We have always wanted to take a side trip to Anguilla and JD made it happen today. Now that we know all that is involved to do this I would now feel comfortable to do it again on my own. We arrived on Anguilla and were picked up in a tour van/bus and did a tour of the island stopping at at 2 very high end resorts and other points of interest along the way. We eventually ended up at Shoal Bay for lunch and beach time. The first resort was Rendezvous which was previously the Cuisinart Resort and the 2nd was the 4 Seasons Resort. Totally different vibe over there and if you want to relax and unwind this is the place and there is NO traffic. I still prefer SXM with all its issues. But it is sure beautiful over there.
Jazzgal as soon as I saw The Arch I knew I needed a picture of me on top of it. So off I went down the path to get there much to the dismay of my wife. She gets anxiety when I go on the roof of our 1 story bungalow to check the gutters. Oh well I got my pic anyways
No words can justify the beauty of the sand and ocean
Maybe a a couple of drinks at the Four Seasons would have made the other drinks feel more reasonable
We find Meads bay to be our favorite and may need to sneak a few days into our 2026 visit, 2025 already planned out
Since Irma, I have unofficially adopted my brother from another mother who is a chef on the island and miss his children who unfortunately grow up so quickly when you don't see them that often
Thanks for the great pics. We've stayed in Anguilla many years ago and have done a couple trips over from SXM both on the fast boat, the Marigot Ferry and a day trip on either the Lambada or Tango and really love the beaches and people on that island. You're right on about a completely different vibe than SXM, but for a chillaxin' time it can't be beat.
You can't get away from the ferry ride, ours was $105 parking was $10 and the $19 fee to leave Anguilla. We had additional fees for the tour of the island. If you just wanted to go to a specific beach then there would be a taxi fee which is what I would do next time. The question I always ask myself is "Would you do it again" and the answer is yes.
