Wednesday started with lots of wind and stayed windy all day. It appeared some of the excursions took shelter here in Simpson Bay. I saw the Rhino Riders spend a lot of time here and The Random Wind/Spirit of SXM was moored here with people swimming off the boat. Typically, they go to Mullet Bay, but I am guessing it was too rough. The No1SXM did go out and I am sure the group on it had some fun sailing.

As I posted yesterday, I stopped at The Horny Toad for a quick visit, stopped at Reveil Martin to say hello to Kereen and brought pastries back from Le Sucrière. That place always seems busy.

The rest of the day was spent here at Royal Palm, mostly on the balcony. Two in the group had massages in the afternoon.

I met the Whale Tails here at Royal palm as they stopped by to see the unit and pick me up to go to Lee's for HH. We enjoyed a couple of hours of conversation, solving many of the world's problems and enjoyed getting to know each other a little better after first meeting last year. They were going to dine at Lee's, and I was heading to Skipjacks.

I had not eaten at Skipjacks for several years, but it was chosen for last night. I made reservations as soon as the opened at 11:00. They were starting to have limited availability then. Our group all enjoyed their meals, all seafood based, and some wine and a couple of desserts. I am glad Skipjacks was chosen as it was very good.

Again, no pictures and not an exciting day.

Almost no wind as today starts. I less of the "reserving" of loungers around the pool except for 4 that are reserved by the same people daily. Royal Palm has several "security" personnel walking on the grounds, but I am not sure how much security just a uniform provides.

Yes JD it was a very enjoyable HH + at Lee's. After dropping off JD at Skipjacks we returned to Lee's and had dinner. I had the grilled Mahi Mahi with rice and coleslaw and my wife had grilled Boneless Chicken and rice with fried Sweet Plantains. Both dinners were excellent. We then went back to our room to relax after a busy day of "solving many of the world's problems" grin

It’s been a very windy January and February. By the way as long as I’m on here can anyone recommend something to stop mosquito bite itch. I have a couple bites that itch like crazy for a while now. Either OTC or home remedy would be appreciated.

Any type of oral antihistamine might help and/or a topical hydrocortisone cream.

Glad to hear that Skipjacks was good. We haven't been there for a few years. I remember one time, years ago at Heineken, sitting there with a large group, and it was COLD, windy and rainy. Sounds like your weather has been OK, although windy. Probably the wind will die down this year, just in time for Heineken. duh

The more you itch the more you're making it itch by releasing the histamine from the bite causing the itch. Get some hydrocortisone cream and avoid itching them.

Yes, Skipjacks was exceptionally good. I had two appetizers as I did not want any salad or sides. Good service and they were packed. It is back on my list.

Yes, it is much calmer today and very comfortable.

I ran into Neil from The Celine/Enigma. I will post about that later.

Going to AXA tomorrow and being joined by the Whale Tails. Cody and Ann have never been and neither have they.

GB Express for us. Not a lot more $$ than the public ferry and we don't have to mess with Marigot traffic, parking and the drive there and back.

GB Express was perfect for us in January. They charged 10.00 to park for the day at the terminal. But the entire trip was flawless. Yes more money - less than flying. But well worth it.

I was not aware of the parking but that is good to know. We pulled in the other day to make sure we knew where it was located.

See you Saturday at Jax.
