ruralcarrier said Rosies beer was now $5/piece while it was $3/each last year.

How much is Carib by the box at places like carrefour, super-u, etc.

Used to be like $1/bottle.

Last May Carefore had it on special for $6 a 6 pack of bottles. Seemed to be that price all 4 weeks and again in July at same price for the 3 weeks we were there.

I think we paid 22 a case. Been a while since we saw 1.00 beers!!!

I believe $1.00 each was the price for the small bottles. 200ml (7 ounces). I remember seeing that price on my last visit (2023).

When I'm on the island, I get the 500ml cans of Heineken. On arrival, I buy a case, and I don't really pay much attention to the price. It's what I want, and I'm on vacation, so I get what I want (within reason).

I'll report my experience after my next visit in May.

Nope. It was the regular size bottles. Believe me. I bought and consumed a fare share of them.😉

Yup....decreased the Island's stock of Carib quite a bit when we were there. Big difference from Aruba where it's hard to find a case of any beer under $50

$1 for cold ones during happy hour at the Soggy Dollar. The Chinese stores on the strip sell a 24-bottle (330ml) unchilled case for around $25. Sometimes $22, sometimes more if they think you are a tourist

Oh, how I miss the $0.75 Carib’s at Mr. Busby’s!

It was $9.50 for a 6 pack at Peli Deli today. Which is why I don't buy beer there.

Pelie Deli prices are off the chart. It's my last resort if in need of something quick and close.

I bought some of the small cans (8oz?) of Coors Light at Market Garden yesterday and they were $1 each. I know Market Garden does not have the best prices but we were there. I can't help on the Carib price as I dont like it and never buy it.

SMYC was $4 for a Coors Light yesterday. Beer prices seem to have jumped quite a bit.

The SMYC "Happy Hour" is no longer frequented by the cruisers because it really is no longer a cheaper alternative - yet the draw of that last 5PM inward-bound opening remains sufficient to draw in the crowds. Next door at Nowhere Special and the Soggy Dollar still have good deals, as does Lagoonie's on the other side of the lagoon. All of the Chinese markets between the bridge and the airport compete on beer prices. The cheapest one is Sky Market right across from Palapa Marina/Soggy Dollar. I only head into Market Garden when I want something exotic and don't have a car for Carrefour - that place is seriously expensive!
