We're back on island and it feels so good. Not 1 snow flake to be found and I'm done shoveling for a month grin. Smooth flight from Toronto, left 30 minutes late and arrived 10 minutes early. We got the last jetway available and there were 2 planes parked off to the side of the terminal. The scan your passport line was big but went pretty quickly and waited for our luggage about 20 minutes. Out of the terminal in about 40 minutes then met Lesley and Shirley got our car and were on our way to Market Garden for liquor and beer and cream for coffee.
We are staying at SBR in the Beaumontia building up on the hill on the 4th floor with a great view. Very nice 1 bedroom unit, will take pictures later. After unpacking we went to the SBR beach bar and met up with friends from last year and then over to the Greenhouse for dinner then back to the room. It was a very long day, we were up at 1am for our ride to the airport. Slept for about 10 hours.
Today once we get moving we are going to SMYC for a Bloody Mary and breakfast then off to the Rendezvous for Sunday Jazz.
The yacht in the picture Kaos (361 foot) owned by the hier to Walmart.

Glad you arrived safely. Pictures look wonderful! Looking forward to seeing many more photos from 'home'.

By the way, I would be careful about doing a lot of shopping at Market Garden, as I have heard that the prices on the shelf are often not the price on your receipt.

Thanks Carol for that tip, we started doing that at the Maho Market last trip. Will do my best on the pictures. Right now on our 1st day I feel rushed, need Island time to kick in. Or at least a couple of these.

I read a post on Facebook referencing that but of all the times we have shopped there we have never encountered any price discrepancies at checkout. Just rudeness and indifference from employees.

I generally avoid it like the plague, but you're definitely right about the rudeness of the employees.

LOL! That picture brings back wonderful memories, as I sit here now surrounded by snow and cold.

About a month ago, I was sitting exactly where the guy on the left in the light-blue t-shirt was sitting, enjoying exactly what you are drinking! Have fun and thanks for the reminder.

We shop there often as it's so convenient to us at La Vista Beach. To be honest, we don't pay any attention to prices when on vacation. As to the cashiers, they definitely leave a lot to be desired in the friendliness area. However, last December, we were waiting for the next available cashier and a man walked up to the register ahead of us. The cashier made him wait, and took us. When we thanked her, we did get a smile, lol.

I guess I am particularly sensitive to this situation, as we have a grocery store here that routinely "forgets" to put sale prices on items into the computer.
