Hi - thanks for responding - own timeshare at RI and am an original Mullet Bay owner so very familiar with the area but cant place location of Beach Club. Planning to be on island between Christmas and New Years but can't get rooms at RI as of today. Travelling with 5 adults and 4 preteens. Is Beach Club similar to RI? Mildly concerned about flooding of road to Cupecoy if rain. Any info is appreciated!
My friend Jesus operates the pool bar at the Cupecoy Beach club. There is a new menu at the pool bar. Alex, the chef, will cook some good pasta dishes for you. Here is the new menu and some photos of the pool area at Cupecoy Beach club
Thanks Dr Phil! I arrive tomorrow and was hoping All was figured out at the bar! One of the reasons why we purchased!!!
sXMimi - funny. Family friends owned original MUllet bay, they we had timeshares as did my parents. We sold and purchased at RI and after two seasons at RI we purchased at Cupecoy Beach Club. Yes. The road is awful, we were down in January - it was a mess. But eventually cleared up. Our beach comes and goes. We had more of a beach in January than now. Hoping the winds change and brings the sand back!!! Christmas - New Years is a fun time but extremely busy. Parking can be an issue. But security always helps to find a spot. 1 car per unit. Are there any units you are looking at???
Kim - we were looking at one 2 bedroom unit and one 3 bedroom unit but apparently they are no longer available. Nina put us on a "wait list" for RI but would rather have firm reservations so will keep looking. Btw, on one of our visits last year? the year before? - I was on line at Zee Best ( the one near the airport ) and started chatting with the woman in front of me - her name was Pat - whom I believe is your mother. Our first trip to Mullet Bay was June 1971, so Pat and i found lots to talk about in that very short time. Small world - I wonder if you and my children ever played on the beach at Mullet - could be......
Kim, For the last 6 or 7 weeks I've noticed sewage water leakage from Cupecoy Beach Club onto the sidewalk and the road. It emerges near the lower corner of the beach club, where the wall meets the road and the golf course. Stinky puddles of sewage water are frequent. The security woman at the gate told me, "Yes, we know about the problem," but made no mention of possible repairs. I'm guessing that it's either a septic tank leak or a sewage pipe leak that has saturated the soil and emerges onto the sidewalk and the asphalt road.
I agree, I go by there almost everyday for my walk and yes it stinks like sewage there and you can see it running on to the rods. I would have to step over it. Why can’t they fix it? It’s been going on for a few years.
Interesting. I already asked and was told it’s coming from 14 but looks like us. There was also “something” running down from in front of 14 past us. Originally it was coming from Starz two years ago before they reopened. Nothing surprises me. . I will inquire again Monday. We are pumped twice a week. As I did ask. But will def dig deeper.
If it's Starz or 14, those are expensive properties owned (it would appear) by large profit-making corporations. In many countries, a phone call to a local public health official would result in fast action--probably not in Sint Maarten--as this appears to be a public health nuisance.
Just walked back from Fat Tony’s. There is “something” running out of Starz in the parking lot. I’m super “stuffy” but my husband said it doesn’t smell right. Will still check with CBC management Monday.
