It's been a while since I've been down there and was wondering if everything is boatyball now or can I still get some first come first serve moorings? I'll be going down in the beginning of August. We never used to have an issue with the FCFS balls, but I'm not sure how much of the mooring fields have been converted. Thanks!!!

Not everything is boatyball. The mooring fields that have boatyball still have FCFS balls (which may or may not be managed by boatyball). Some mooring fields still have no boatyball at all, so they're entirely FCFS. Depending on the time of year you go and how early you're getting to the mooring field, it should be possible to do FCFS everywhere (though some may still be paid through boatyball, but when you get there, not at 7am).

Thanks!!! If it's a FCFS ball that get paid through boatyball, do I need to use an app or website? I was planning on doing the trip without internet, but not sure that will work...

Beginning of August you should have no issues getting FCFS anywhere. Even on the Boatyball FCFS, they will come collect from you - you don't have to have internet.

Usually, what happens is some guy motors up in a dingy and collects $40 when you're moored at one of the non-Boaty balls.
