I'll be visiting the island soon, staying at Hilton Royal Palm in a two-bedroom unit, and I'm seeking advice from those who have stayed there in the past.

The Hilton website shows "Self laundry available." What does that mean? Does each unit have laundry? Is there a shared laundry room to use? Is there a charge to use the laundry machines?

We stayed at The Royal Palm in Dec 2022. Yes they have a coin laundry room on the ground floor. When you come in the door to the lobby turn left and go to the end of the hallway to the laundry room. We also had a 2 bedroom unit but no washer and dryer in the unit. Hope this helps.

In the past laundry was on the ground floor at the end of the building. Unless you are renting a wholly owned unit vs a timeshare unit, they will not have laundry in the unit. There was a charge to use the laundry but no idea how much it currently is.

I will be there in a couple of weeks as well.

The sister resort Flamingo has a laundry room that used to be coin operated but last May was free. That could have changed at the Royal Palm too. For future reference the 2 bed lockout units at Flamingo have their own seperate washer/dryer for each side in each unit.

My daughter and boyfriend and one other couple stayed in the two bedroom just a week ago. The are very well appointed. There was no laundry in the room, but there is a laundry room downstairs. They didnt use that I am aware of, but I remember staying at the Royal Palm many times, and there was laundry facilities available.
All views off balconies face the water, so all good.
Some are complaining of the noise from a bar called NO Where Special. It is quiet during the day, but it starts with the extremely loud music around 10pm and goes to the wee hours. Didnt bother the couple in the front bedroom facing the water, but the second bedroom which is at the back of Royal Palm facing Welfare Rd, gets a lot of noise. Just a warning. Many have complained about it, but apparently nothing is done. The young kids didnt mind at all. And if it was me, I can sleep through anything, but thought it was worth mentioning it. Have a great trip.

I am an owner at RP. The laundry for guests is free on ground floor in the east wing ( wing opposite the bridge channel). Some unit’s, usually the 3 bedroom units and some 2 bedroom units at the end of the wings, have private laundry.

Thanks for that clarification. Always best to hear from an owner than by speculation from a travel magazine.
