It's -14F here in Wisconsin this morning. At least I have the live stream from SBR Beach to keep me warm...or at least pretend

Not quite as bad here, a balmy 7 right now with windchill of (-8) ang going to an actual of 8 below tonight. I checked out the webcam as well and spoke to an island friend. 30+ days and I will be there.

53 degrees and a cold rain here.

We were making plans for spring / early summer but had to cancel. We are kicking off several home renovations and it just seemed to much if an indulgence...

21 and mostly clear skies... gonna get to 4 tonight. The animals mostly hang out in the barn when it gets below 20. The ducks and geese however seem nonplussed. They are fat boogers though. Their only aggravation is total lack of bathing water, it just freezes up to fast when I fill up the baby pools and the pond has frozen solid for days. Ducks do not skate well. This weeks is the traditional historic low point for winter temps in Tennessee so guess we should have anticipated it.

Just as an interesting point, they have 8 inches of snow on the ground in Louisiana.. yes Louisiana. And maybe some real snow accumulation in Pensacola. I bet this will be a week to remember for a lot of Southern school children, bless their sweet hearts. I have some mighty good memories of those childhood snow days.

We have family in Tallahassee. Government offices closed early there today and will be closed all day tomorrow.

Work has me at the southern tip of Florida and it is a pleasant 75F in Key Largo.

Our high today was a blazing 3.

My wife and I call it stOOpid cold.

6 degrees, with the windchill around zero in NYC area/Westchester county!!! 63 days and a wake up to BSV!!! There is something very special when that cabin door opens,and the warm bright sun hits you and the refreshing smell of the ocean fills you!!! BUT THIS cold stuff gotta go!!!

Yup...nice and warm here and also 6 degrees back home...last night from Bucaneer BB and this morning from the condo deck. Rainbow almost every AM

Grandkids are seeing SNOW for the first time. They live in Lake City Florida.

-5 here in Ohio. If we weren't coaching volleyball we would be int he car heading south.

....wind chill of -24°c here (-11°f) in YYZ

Minus 7 here right now, windchill of minus 19 but up to a blazing 17 today. The dogs and I still walk, but shorter distances over several walks.

22 here this AM in Va Beach. Got 2 inches of snow overnight.

This is what it looks like in south Georgia this morning. Got about 5 inches of snow.

Scubaman - Palm Trees in Washington State?

Yep. Those two are the shortest ones of the 11 I have in ground.

OK, So I figure that Auburn WA is at 47.3 degrees North latitude and I'm at 43.1 degrees North latitude in Niagara and there isn't a palm tree to be found here.Maybe I should try.

These are cold hardy to about 6F after established but not for a prolonged time. I've grown some from the seeds they've dropped and germinated. I also have my perennial banana trees that pop up every spring. Got to keep that tropical mood going.

Can't wait to trade this mountain for a view of Saba in the morning. Little chilly here.
