Does anyone have experience with this https://bviedcard.gov.vg/ ?

I stumbled across mention of it somewhere.

Just used the form for a visit on Monday and it worked perfectly. Highly recommend you do it. Seemed like a lot of people on our plane had also done it online.

I used it and arrived at EIS yesterday. It worked great - definitely sped up the clearing-in process.

Filled out the entry form online for my family last night. Very straight forward. The only catch is you can't fill it out until before 72 hours of your arrival. https://bviedcard.gov.vg/

Make sure to have pictures of your passports on your computer as they need to be uploaded. I completed the forms during our layover at the Miami airport. Had to go through the process of taking pics with my cell phone and then emailing them to my computer while there. Otherwise very easy and straight forward. So much easier than filling out the form by hand.

We did it online before leaving for VG. Also did the paper version while waiting in San Juan. They wanted the paper version when we arrived via Cape Air into VG.

The ihpne and iPad will now make excellent PDF scans.

How to scan documents on your iPhone or iPad
Open Notes and select a note or create a new one.
Tap the Camera button , then tap Scan Documents .
Place your document in view of the camera.
If your device is in Auto mode, your document will automatically scan. ...
Tap Save or add additional scans to the document.

Thats what I was wondering about. We are flying Island Birds and they sent me the link the other day. I'll report back on if we needed the paper version at VG.

Here is the report - I filled out the on line portal, taking pictures with my iPad. Paper forms were also required to clear in at the VG airport.

Can/should you do this if entering by ferry?

The Roadtown Fast Ferry pointed me at the QR code for the form when I was getting on the boat in St. Thomas. Filled it out, but I have no clue why. The customs guys in Road Town were wholly uninterested in the fact that I had done so. I guess it's more efficient as it's less paper for them to throw out.

For anybody who has already filled out the form and who were traveling by ferry from St. Thomas, I gather you couldn't fill out the form until you were actually on the ferry, as you need to know the registration # of the ferry you are traveling on?

What I don’t get is why they did not go to a kiosk system in conjunction with the online site. They could have even gone full modern with a system like the US now has at many locations for Global entry. You stop for 10 seconds in front of a Camera and that’s it. You almost don’t break stride!

We arrived yesterday and there does appear to be such a machine sitting off to the side, not currently in use.

We printed the QR forms, but it did not appear that anyone yet has the equipment to read them.
The immigration officer typed in some numbers from the form.

The RoadTown ferry had the name of the boat (Lady Caroline) and registration (which changes with passage) on a sign at the ticket window.

So if you don't fill out the online form until you're about to board the ferry, is it really going to save any time when you get to customs ... say an hour later?
