PS I was hard pressed to find good reviews. Most say overpriced and tasteless. One said he has been dining in SXM over 30 years and it was the worst meal he'd had?????

Java recently had a change of executive chef who is well respected.
The previous menu had middle eastern cuisine

Hubert used to cook at Les Galets in Orient and oversees Aloha on Orient beach

He runs first class operations

Thanks Linda. I must have missed your report that you linked or I wouldn't have ask if Barranco was open.

And thanks for mentioning the foods you ate. I had gotten the impression from something I had read, that foods were things like Humus, dips etc.

Not at all. I wish I could remember the entree that my island foodie friend and others had; whatever it was, they raved about it.
