We are arriving in SXM on December 3rd and many here have suggested preregistration to ease the entry process. Anyone know of a link to the official website to preregister?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Bryan

Wow, I'm glad I saw this. This must be something new. Who needs to fill this registration out?

After looking, I see I need to fill one out. This forum is very informational for sure. I would never have know I had to do this if I hadn't seen someones post.

How far in advance do most of you fill it out? Thanks.

Anytime prior to arrival. I think at least 7 days prior and ok before.

Thanks timnbob for the link to the SXM Entry Form. We were able to get the form filled out but, took some time. We got an email saying everything is accepted so we will see how things go when we arrive in SXM next week. Cheers!

One thing I noticed while waiting in line was that the helper pressed the passport down so that it was completely flat on the scanner. That solved the problem that I saw many people having. We did that with ours, and they were immediately accepted.

Yes. It seems the scanners are having issues reading the passports unless pressed down hard. But I also noticed the flatbeds are filthy and should be cleaned. Maybe that would help. Wish they had a line for those that filled it out online and one for those that didn’t. Lines would move quicker.

Quick question on the entry form. I'm having a brain fart on this one and what they really mean.

Do I (we) have any monetary instruments or transporting currency equal to or greater than NaF 20,000 or USD 10,000, or foreign equivalent, in any form?

What do they really mean with this?? I just can't seem to wrap my head around it. I think I know, but then, I question my thinking. Anyone? Thanks.

No, I don't take $10,000 in cash, I take $50,000. Is that okay??? LOL

That's what I thought it meant but I then questioned myself on that. Well, I don't have to go back into the form and change anything.
Thanks.
17 days until we arrive in Sint Maarten.

As long as you declare your 50 000 go right ahead and take it. Island can use it. 😂👌

re entry form,,,,it took a LOT of patience to actually complete the online form. I understood that if your place of birth town was not on drop down, you just chose a city or place closest. Got it. But then when they want your actual home address that would have been on your passport application, that too, is a drop down list of towns, cities. Well many live in small towns, and again, even for your home address you had to chose a town or city close to where you live.....hardly seems right. The other thing for people to watch for, or at least what I experienced was whenever they asked you for a date, either departure, arrival or birthday, and you hit the little calendar,,,I put in the correct date and moved on, only to find out, each and every time I hit the correct day of the week, it always filled out the box with a date a day earlier - watch for that and go back. The second time it actually took the correct date. Pretty important to have the correct date for arrival, departure and especially birthdate. A friend from Canada arrived to SXM a few days ago and this whole entry form was never mentioned in Toronto or SXM.......I was able to complete our group one, so time will tell if it will be an issue. Lots of issues to fix by the sound of it. Will be in SXM soon, very soon.....

Westjet asked me in November if I had filled out the entry form and received confirmation. They were checking for boarding then.

Air Transat in Toronto asked us if we had filled out the entry form and looked at it on our phones before we boarded. A lot of people at the gate were busy filling out the entry form before boarding.
