I read that and wondered why so many would be unclaimed, especially if they were in running order and LEGALLY owned.

Most of them were probably used in crimes and they didn't want to claim them because of that.

now if they would take all scooters and motorcycles off the roads of SXM. Sure would save a lot of headaches, and funerals.

That will probably never happen as there are responsible scooter owners that rely on them for transportation and obey the road rules. Would not be fair for them.

Why unclaimed? Could be the owner had a warrant for there arrest and the bike was stolen !!! What Mr. Meda was talking about was an all out blitz on these riders with no tags!! This would give the right to Confiscate them for 30 days then crush them!! This way only the ones that are on the road are legal !!! These riders aren't the ones terrorizing the streets and the shopping dining areas!!!

Most of the scooters that pass by me have no registration plates so that would get them on the "Please desrtoy" list
