...and some thoughts. Food first: Everyone knows I love The Sugar Mill and its even better with three pies on the night menu..try them all! Myett's has a new chef and whole new menu which is really good..the alfredo is as good as I have had anywhere. Marina Cay is serving really good food, as Ratman's Wife says, not cheap but good..and still a lovely locale.A big surprise for me was the pizza at Mulligan's in Nanny Cay...a place I never rated for food but this was a great surprise. Everyone loves the Admiral Pub pizza in Soper's Hole and it is good..but hard for me to pass Omar's new place..Omar's Sandspit...for the really good Indian cuisine ( for wimps they have other stuff) In town Capriccio still does it for me with pizza and pasta..More later..

A couple more things...when did a (really) small bottle of Sunny Caribee with its cute straw hat became a $15 novelty item? I loved to buy the big bottles for about $6.And when did places start getting away with mixing up a bunch of commercial rums behind the bar, putting them in left over bottles and charging $25? I guess these are signs of the times. You can still get a decent cheeseburger at Stout's Lookout for under $10...the $20 annual membership to the "Loyal" West End Yacht Club will get you discounts at Omar's Sandspit..also yacht club HQ.NY Eve dinner at The Sugar Mill was outstanding with a great rocking party after dining..more later.

Regarding the BVIs my beloved late wife Candace used to say "You cant make this $hit up". Went to the DMV o register my Jeep for the year.It passed inspection despite a couple of boo boos but when it came to putting the new registration decal on my windshield the guy said they dont have any 2026 stickers yet! I guess no one realised that the New Year was on their door step.He wrote a note on my registration should I get stopped by the cops and told me I could drop by "maybe in a couple of weeks" if they had the decals..

Before we picked up our new car, the insurance company reserved our plates at the same DMV, and we were assigned a plate number. When we went to get the car, it had different plates. They had run out of license plates! So they gave ours to someone else, then gave someone else's to us. Basically they were borrowing from Peter to pay Paul until their new plates arrived!
