Last night's fireworks display in Maho was quite impressive. We watched from our balcony on the 2nd floor of La Terrasse and chose not to mingle with the locals down on the beach or on Rhine Road. It was party time for them. Some place on Rhine Road had the techno music (if you can call it that) thumping into the wee hours. And of course the scooter drivers were out in full force doing burn outs and wheelies.

Thanks for the pics - looks like quite a display. I wonder who sponsors (pays for) them?

Living a half mile from the Muckleshoot tribe Boom City I get a lifetime worth of fireworks displays every Holiday and all month long in June/July. Not something I look forward to anywhere but glad you enjoyed it.

1/2 mile away and bothersome? Must be a heck of a display.

Yes it is. It's the largest casino complex in WA and they put on displays like no other. They also sell everything you can imagine to the public to shoot off at their own residence and a cross the river from where we live. Most of the formal displays last 20 minutes of constant booms along with individuals shooting them off till the we morning hours. So yes it's very bothersome. Hence my disdain for them.
