Now that the water has been restored to the French side of the island we headed North to Orient Beach. Traffic was good going up and the usual slow down coming back through Marigot. We stopped In Grande Case and parked in the free lot and walked down to Captain Frenchy's for a refreshment or two and did a little shopping on our way back to the car. Then we headed to Sébastien's for some treats for me which we picked up on our way home. Then off to Orient Beach for lunch at Orange Fever and had my much needed French Burger. Orient Beach was really busy today and on the drive home the scooter drivers think that they own the road and they are not only endangering their own lives (they deserve what they get) but also everybody else on the road. Why both governments don't take them off the road is beyond me. A great day none the less and now it's time for a treat from Sébastien's before the fireworks start in Maho Beach.
Looks good, thanks. The cycle/scooter situation really is bad and needs to be addressed in an aggressive way. Several years ago, I witnessed first-hand the results of the stupid antics. It was not a pleasant sight.
We had contributed to the roof repair at that church but hadn't seen much happening. Now it's good to see that church shaping up.
Good to see birds back on the island. Hadn't seen any since hurricane. I remember feeding yellow birds sugar from my hand. When we ran out hubby opened a packet of the fake stuff and they were smart enough not to take it.
