We went for another Simpson Bay walk yesterday to see if the pool had been installed yet. Nope. But there has been progress. What looks like what use to be a cargo container has been put into this area and maybe the pool will be put into that? Time will tell. Some serious effort is being put into the landscaping as there are more plants in the ground to go along with the dozen palm trees. We went around to the airport side of the building to check on the parking situation. The parking attendant that was wearing a Karakters shirt would not comment on if this was parking for Babacool's.
After our walk we needed a refreshing dip in the pool at La Terrasse. As we were setting up our lounge chairs the lady next to us called out my TTOL name. Did not expect that. Turns out it was Manitoulin Island Girl and her husband who are here for a week. Always nice to meet fellow TTOL'ers. We had a nice chat about everything SXM and looking forward to more.

A ton of money for a place right on shore!!! I motored by it,(11-01-24) took a look from my Rhino speedboat ( ocean was really choppy to stop and take a picture or two) and lots of guys working!! Shipping container, not a bad idea for a pool when finished!!
Lots of Money is definitely being spent down there,,, unfortunately money being spent doesn’t mean it’s gonna be any good as we all know. It’s owned by the problematic district 721 owners so count on people not going for that reason. .Mario someone that I was told pissed off a lot of people with some insurance scam after Irma. Probably related to why his last place burned down, Not to mention I still I’m hearing that they don’t even have a business permit for various funny business reasons. I know Karakter and most of the neighborhood is fighting hard to keep them close. But if they do somehow open the good news at least they have their own parking lot way way down the road if you’re willing to take a shuttle. I heard it’s obviously gonna be very upscale extremely pricey. Better news is lots of good options for a beach bar. What goes around comes around in life so if they If they’re deserving, and good neighbors they’ll do great.
