Has anyone eaten here since the restaurant was sold to Chantal & Jason formally of Le Bistronome? I was wondering if the menu has changed.

We ate there last month and the food was excellent. Met Chantal for the first time and she is very pleasant to speak with. Told us that they will be keeping many of the traditional meals from L’Auberge Gourmande, but will be adding some of their own familiar meals to the menu. I had a meal of their creation with the duck leg Wellington. It was absolutely delicious. We would definitely return on our next trip.

Thanks for your input all. Too many places to dine in SXM and not enough time so I'm making a list and checking it twice.

Glad to hear some of the old menu remains. It was the first place we ate on our honeymoon. We ate at Bistronome last year and it too was great. Is Chantal also keeping Le Bistronome open or was that sold too? Anyone know?

We ate there on their opening night in October. Even though it was hectic, with a thrown in snag of their credit card machine not working, everything was delicious.
Chantal said they would be keeping some of the menu items and adding on some of their own . We had eaten several times in the previous years at Le Bistronome and it was excellent, so I would also welcome some of those menu items.

Le Bistronome was closed last month and I believe it will stay closed. Another of our faves in GC that was sold is Spiga. The new owners are from Italy and have introduced a completely new menu. We dined there last month and everything from the greeting forward was excellent. They’re high on our list for our next visit. They have also added a small bar in the back corner of the dining room.

We didn't. She let us come back the next night to pay, even though we offered to go back to our hotel for cash. One of the things I love about St. Martin, especially Grand Case. It's like a small town at home. Everyone knows you.

We were one of the few that were never impressed with Spiga. May have to give it another try with the new owners.

Ditto. Will try it next visit---unless I read bad reports.
