I'm trying to fill out the online form and I can't directly input dates--Passport issue, expiry, DOB--but have to .scroll through their calendar month-by-month. Is there a way to directly input the date rather than scrolling through 900 pages to input my DOB?

It's the same here. I had to hit the mouse 684 times to get the needed date. It took a little while.

Use the forward and back arrow on your keyboard and you can jump years at a time

Good morning,
Yes indeed there is. Its a bit different than our calendars as well re sun to sat that we are used to as well.
Click the "mm" on the mm-dd-yyyy field and all months appear in a drop down, repeat by clicking on nearby "dd" for day. These are all in the same field/box.
This will simplify the task.
Also note, be aware that even though you selected the proper day, it may show up the following day. It took alot of patience to get the field entry accurate.
Enjoy your flight... sxm awaits you.

Same here on the dates moving, I had to go in on the entire group to change dates. I printed everything and we will see how it goes.

Thanks, timnboston. Keeping the back arrow depressed zipped through the months in less than a minute. Much easier than clicking the mouse excessively.
The form did back my input dates by one day, but if you click on that date box, the calendar page for that month and year appears, and you can click on the correct date.
Boy, I deserve this trip.

Click on the month at the top of the calender, and a drop down box appears, click on the year, 2024 is shown at the moment, and a drop down box of all years appears

I thought I would do a test run for a late Feb. trip. While it was not too bad, figuring out the dates was a PITA and honestly, I see little value in the form other than perhaps collecting some tourism information. Along with the debacle the airport has been, this is not a surprise.

Will try and help in regards to this entry form, seems confusion is still high.
Firstly you can change the year rather than having to go back each month for every year, saves a lot of time.
You fill out the form as best you can, even with the poorly worded questions, should not take more than 5 minutes.
You will receive an email within minutes stating you completed the form and in that email there is a link which takes you back to your completed form where you can edit it.
It is possible the dates change or something is different versus what you typed earlier, simply fix those dates/numbers to the correct one. My birthday was a day off from what I typed so I fixed it.
You can always go back to the form and check again to make sure all the numbers/dates are correct.
If everyone fills out the form correctly there should be almost no line when arriving in SXM (it takes ~2 minutes from scanning your passport and exit the E-Gate), the next issue is people will complain about waiting for their checked luggage I guess!

Very well stated. I found the year/dates thing to be the most confusing but after playing around with it for a couple of minutes, I figured it out. I am not traveling until 2/23/25 but was able to complete and submit the form and get approval this morning and within a minute or so.
One other thing, is there a FAQ section? It was mentioned but either I missed it, or it is not there.
Thanks.

I read here that many people still had to enter info even tho' they'd completed form. I wonder if that's happening when one fills it out too soon before leaving for SXM instead of days before?

We will arrive Friday so we completed the form this morning with no issues. Basically the same information you used to put on the white card that you completed on the plane.
Glad I read the note about just clicking on the day, month or year to see all the options. I also put every date in as the next day so that I did not have to adjust anything afterwards. Confirmation of receipt was almost immediate.

My experience:
1) Thanks to the tip on this forum, I knew to put a + in from of my cell phone number, so dodged that bullet (in all fairness to the form, the ghosted out example DOES include a +).
2) A bit of fumbling around, but found the drop downs on the date calendars so avoided the pain of scrolling through
3) Using my Canadian home address was not an option, I live in rural Saskatchewan and the closest option the drop down provided was over an hour away. No such thing as a county option for Canadian addresses either. Rather than use incorrect info, I simply used my US address (seasonal resident for the winter) which is entirely accurate since that is where I was departing from to travel to SXM. And probably the more appropriate entry anyway.
4) Our AA flight from MIA landed almost an hour early on a Saturday afternoon (Dec 7th), beating Air France
5) Walked off the plane, into the terminal, through the stanchion lines right up to a kiosk without stopping
6) Scanned passport (again due to a tip from this forum, I knew to push down hard)
7) Exited through the checkpoint gate and out to the baggage carousel to wait for luggage
Talk about the stars aligning! It was easily the fastest entry that I have made in almost 30 years of travel to SXM.
Our friends who arrived the following Friday in the later afternoon? 1.5 hours to get through entry and then stuck in traffic for 2.5 hours.
What I learned from this is that any individual experience is a total crap-shoot. But isn't that true for most of life?

Rosemary, we filled ours out several weeks before our arrival, and didn't have to enter any information at the kiosk.

When you say you walked off the plane into the terminal are you saying you had a Jetway?

Scubaman,
No Jetway, just down the steps from the plane and then walked across the tarmac along the marked pathway. Our plan was parked reasonably close to the terminal so no need for the dreaded bus ride!
We actually walked past some parked buses!

Thanks. There's a link to something like " more information about things to do on SXM", that also includes the FAQs about the form. I didn't originally click on that, because I didn't need any help knowing what to do on the island, lol.
