If you look at the video that scooter driver came out of nowhere at a high rate of speed. Impact really shows it. I feel sorry for the van driver that was involved due to that scooter drivers recklessness.
I’m not sure how you can say the scooter driver was reckless based on the video I saw! A vehicle (in this case a scooter) traveling 40mph covers 60 feet in a second! I feel sorry for all involved!
Well having just spent the last few weeks driving around SXM and watching scooters drive down the middle of the road in bumper to bumper traffic Weaving in and out I'm amazed that there are not more of these fatalities everyday.
I've yet to see any scooter driver who wasn't reckless. I began to assume that in scooter school, they just teach you to lay on the gas and don't stop for anything. Sad, but these guys are their own demise.
