We picked D's for our Christmas dinner over Tortuga. Tortuga was serving Butterball Turkey or Glazed Ham and D's were serving Honey Glazed Salmon or Red Wine Braised Beef Short Ribs. Now we're talking!! The portions were plentiful and the food was delicious. I expected some bones in my pile of beef on the plate but there was not one, just stick your fork in and it was all beef!! My wife said her salmon was delicious. There was plenty to fill us and we brought some salmon and beef home which will go nice in a baguette for lunch today. Alban played guitar in the background and Juggie made an appearance and came over to say hello, he seemed to know everybody in the place. Jake the bartender came over to say hi. Boy we know alot of great bartenders on the island. Hmm. I was disappointed they took the Cranberry Cheesecake off the menu and we had the Pumpkin pie instead.
Looks good, especially the short ribs. I don't mind a bone if it is a large bone and still a good amount of meat. I have had them sliced "flanken" style, which usually has bones in each slice. I always ask now. If you like beef short ribs, Jax has an excellent one as well. Enjoying your daily reports. Thanks!
Yum! When I saw the photos I thought it was swordfish not salmon. I just said to hubby when we can no longer walk too far and don't rent car food at D's looks good enough for the stay along with Jeannie's AShop n Drop.
