It's good to be back at our 2nd home
Long day, maybe 2 hours sleep last night and picked up at 2am for our ride to the airport in Toronto. Departure was delayed by 1/2 hour because of de-icing, no snow in Toronto but frost on the wings. The gate attendants in Toronto were asking everyone to show their entry approval before boarding and of course there were many people on their phone completing their form at the gate. Smooth flight and wheels down on the runway at 12:08 and giving Lesley a hug 42 minutes later. We had a jetway and the arrival area was brand new for us compared to past 7 years. I think that because we were an early arrival they were x-raying everyone's luggage which took longer than it would have been. The electronic entry was great, scan your passport and then proceed to luggage pick up.
After unpacking we walked to the Driftwood for a Rum Punch and some wings. It's nice when you show up after an extended absence and the waitresses say "You're Back" and gives you a hug.
Picked up a few essentials at the Maho Market, until we get to Carrefour.
We are too tired to go to the Dionne Warwick Gala but my wife walked over to the Red Carpet event and said that we didn't bring the right clothes with us as suits and long gowns were the attire for this evening.
